Some thoughts about The Wild Storm #12

The world is about to enter into a war.

Henry Bendix's headquarters are being under attack and the world might be pretty close to a war.

Guess what? More set-up!

Yes, we're half-way this series and we're still just preparing ourselves for an upcoming big event that is taking way too long to take place. At this point is not surprising, not even disappointing, but from the beginning I was sincerely expecting more for the story that Warren Ellis was creating. Unfortunately the pieces are coming together too slowly and it will need a really climactic resolution to compensate for the long wait.

This issue offers a few bits of those pieces starting to fit but at the same time all of this happens at a snail pace and not even the most important events, like the death of one of the characters, seems like a big deal. Even Henry Bendix's presence was not enough to make this entertaining.

Jon Davis-Hunt handles the art and is as usual a great example of how to create storytelling with a vivid cinematic feel.

Other than that, we still don't have enough answers and we still have too many questions.
