Some thoughts about The Snagglepuss Chronicles #3

Snagglepuss will have to help everyone in his life.

The world of actors is an incredibly complex one and it can present some of the most fascinating characters that people might not even know about.

This series keeps improving with each new entry.

After a kinda underwhelming first issue, Mark Russell has really made this into one of the most interesting reads from a character work point. Each new member of the cast showcases a quite deep personality that is perfectly explored based on the conversations they have and their own outlook about their careers or in life in general. The story being centered around the universe of actors from the time of the Cold War allows to feature important people from history like Marilyn Monroe and Clint Eastwood and it works wonderfully at developing them as characters of this title.

This is really where Russell's work truly shines. Sure, he likes to do satire but he excels at creating multidimensional characters that emphasize really human traits that anyone can relate to no matter their differences. From Queer people, famous people, all of them have understandable aspects.

Mike Feehan's artwork remains perfect at mixing the anthropomorphic beings with the normal humans in a cohesive and polished way.

Less impressive is the second feature about Sasquatch Detective by Brandee Stilwell which focuses on cases that too simple and literal toilet humour that is just not funny. The art is good at least.

Solid read overall, can't wait for the next one.
