Some thoughts about Sideways #2

Sideways will have to face a much more powerful enemy.

Tempus Fuginaut has arrived to Earth because of Derek's powers and there might not be a chance to escape.

Second issue and this series is getting better already.

Dan Didio and Justin Jordan offer a new installment where they play with different ideas at the same time. This is pretty funny since the beginning I noticed a huge resemblence of Tempus Fuginaut with classic Jack Kirby stories and then the comic mentions that "this feels like a Kirby comic", this is probably because of Didio's involvement with previous Kirby franchises like O.M.A.C. and The Forever People and I'm glad such similarities are still prominent here. The way how Tempus' mission connects with Derek makes a lot of sense and creates interesting plot-points for the future.

Best of all are the dynamics between the characters due that the protagonist is forced to go to the hospital and this presents a fairly realistic reaction from his friends and family while also showing more aspects of their personalities and backgrounds. The natural and entertaining dialogue helps a lot.

Keneth Rocafort handles the pencils and is once again quite beautiful thanks to his creative layouts and stunning characters.

Great read, hope this continues to improve.
