Some thoughts about Justice League of America #16

Can the Justice League stop the end of the world?

The Atom has found out a secret in the Microverse along with a new enemy that could mean the end of everything he has worked for.

Sorry people, is not getting better.

I mean, there are a few things I dig about this issue including how the character of Null seems to have certain ties to the Anti-Monitor, purposely or not, the way how he dresses and how he wants to destroy a whole universe makes the similarities between the two easy to see.

... And that's it, the bad parts are how boring this story still is.

No matter how much of a backstory Steve Orlando tries to give Null, he's simply not that interesting as an antagonist to be invested into (and I think I've seen this particular motivation quite a few times already) and since you don't buy him as a proper character, then the story doesn't have much better luck since is heavily connected to him and the motivations behind Ray's desire to stop him become, well, null.

Felipe Watanabe's art is solid at the very least with expressive characters and a vibrant tone that is reminiscent of Ivan Reis' style at times.

Other than that, not worth checking out. Just end already.
