Some thoughts about Superman #29

Superman only has a minute.

Parallax has arrived to Earth and is possessing kids now. Is up to Clark to save them no matter what he has to sacrifice.

Wasn't expecting another writer but this is not bad per se.

Keith Champagne begins this little arc by focusing on a conflict between Superman and the entity of fear, Parallax. This is an interesting premise which creates an appropriate reaction by people who interact with the creature, especially Clark who has to deal with the fact the now innocent children are being targeted.

The thing is that the dialogue can be a bit heavyhanded at times by repeating themes and ideas a bit too much and characters saying more than they should in unnatural ways. The cliffhanger is exciting enough at least.

Doug Mahnke is in charge of the pencils and is cool to see him drawing Green Lantern characters once again, all of it with a lot of detail and style.

Not bad but not great, passable I assume.
