Some thoughts about Gotham Academy: Second Semester #12

Is this the end for Gotham Academy?

Olive's powers are putting everyone at risk and is up to Maps to find a way to save her and their friendship.

Saying it once again, that's a quite lovely and appropriate final cover.

The content itself is also pretty good since Becky Cloonan, Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl finally bring closure to one of the running plot-points that started since the beginning of this series, the fate of Olive and her powers. The character work is pretty solid due to the interactions between the characters which is perfectly emphasized thanks to the natural and enjoyable dialogue.

However, the highlight is the relationship between Olive and Maps. The way how their problems are finally resolved is quite satisfying and makes sense considering all the things they have lived together. Plus, this might also be some sort of commentary about people with mental issues, about how they're not alone with their own problems and makes me wonder if this could be further explored in the future.

Adam Archer brings an appropriate work on pencils with a pretty clean and expressive style that creates a lot of details for the environments and characters.

Satisfying ending, hope there's still a future for these characters.
