Some thoughts about The Flash #28

The Flash will have to deal with his new powers.

The last battle against Thawne has caused more damage to Barry's life than he could have ever imagined and now his own abilities might hurt those who are close to him.

New storyline begins here and so far, so good as usual.

Joshua Williamson delivers the ramifications of the final battler against the Reverse-Flash in a pretty logical way with Barry having to deal with the effects of the Negative Speed Force in his powers. The character work continues to be solid due that Barry's life is at a lowpoint now with all of his loved ones having abandoned him and now his own powers are slowly hurting him. This is classic Born Again stuff and hopefully something solid will come out of it.

Plus, is clear that Williamson has a bigger story in the future. Several of the previous plot-points are coming together and seem to be pointing out to a climax in upcoming issues.

Carmine Di Giandomenico returns to art duties and his work is strong as usual with a pretty kinetic style that is perfect for the action scenes.

Enjoyable overall, let's see how it goes.
