Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #20

Wonder Woman's enemies are becoming more dangerous.

Veronica Cale is still looking for a way to cure her daughter and to do so, she will have to trust a strange witch.

I actually didn't think this was so bad for a change.

Greg Rucka delivers a new chapter where he continues his ongoing story about Veronica Cale's plans which include most importantly, the reintroduction of Circe. Credit where credit is due, I really liked the portrayal of Circe here, is really entertaining and really in vein with Strife from Brian Azzarello's run (which makes me wish that Rucka would have used that version instead).

Sure, I still have some issues with this, particularly the treatment of Cheetah who is not as well-handled in comparison but aside from that, the story progresses at a nice pace and it has good characterization.

Bilquis Evely returns to art duties and her work improves with each new chapter, her characters are beautiful with a lot of personality and style.

Enjoyable overall, let's see where it goes.
