Some thoughts about The Flash #17

The battle between The Flash and The Rogues is about to finish.

Captain Cold is ready to defeat Barry but he's not ready to sacrifice his team to do so and even if Barry manages to defeat them, things are just beginning.

Yet another solid entry thankfully.

Joshua Williamson delivers the final chapter of this little arc by still focusing on what makes The Rogues great and the contrast the exist between The Flash and them. The characterization is pretty solid with Williamson drawing the parallels between Barry and Snart and showing how The Rogues will always maintain their code of honour despite that some of them might not agree with that rule.

Plus, there are still several sub-plots being created including the possible appearance of The Reverse-Flash and the rise of The Rogues in Central City. All of this is added to the nice portrayal of the protagonist and how much he represents to the city.

Carmine Di Giandomenico is accompanied this time by Davide Gianfelice and Neil Googe and the result can be a bit inconsistent at times sadly with a few of the artists having a pretty different style.

Still, this was a pretty enjoyable issue and makes me want to see more.
