Some thoughts about The Flintstones #7

What is the price for someone's sins?

Religion has become more influential than ever and now everyone believes they can buy their way out of hell but is time for them to realize what is really important.

There are some things I agree with and others than I don't.

For one, I do like the main theme that Mark Russell is implementing here, about how religion has become so materialized over the course of the years that people believe that they can simply go to church and donate to avoid going to hell and while some of that mentality might be a bit outdated, is still an interesting commentary. Plus, the fact that people should care about each other simply because is the right thing instead of doing it because of fearing a punishment is pretty on-point.

On the other hand, I kinda feel that this kind of writing tends to see religion in the worst way possible. Sure, religion has quite a few of the flaws mentioned here but most of the time, I feel like Russell doesn't balance it by mentioning the actual good aspects of it.

Rick Leonardi handles the artwork and is solid, not as detailed or expressive as Steve Pugh's but it still has clear storytelling.

Enjoyable for the most part, let's see what happens next.
