Some thoughts about Cave Carson has a Cybernetic Eye #4

The world of Cave Carson continues to expand.

Cave, Chloe and Wild Dog are still trying to escape from the bizarre beings who are attacking them while trying to find a mysterious civilization that they haven't seen in a while.

This story continues to be interesting in its own way.

Gerard Way and Jon Rivera offer a new chapter where they explore much more about the universe surrounding Cave Carson including the background of his deceased wife and how all of that is connected to their current situation. The worldbuilding is pretty solid and it manages to be creative without being unnecessarily pompous in its execution.

The character work is also solid with the protagonists having several moments where their relationships are revealed and connect them to the theme of the current chapter.

Michael Avon Oeming remains in art duties and his work is still perfect for this book thanks to his cartoony style that depicts all the strange settings and creatures here really well.

There's a second segment once again by Tom Scioli and is still the usual distinctive style focusing on different heroes with a quite creative artwork.

Enjoyable overall but more Wild Dog for the next one please.
