Some thoughts about Batgirl #5

How can Batgirl win?

Teacher has been using kids around her for her organization and Barbara doesn't know how to defeat her. If she wants to face her properly she will have to get rid of one of her best skills.

Once again, yet another decent issue but still doesn't make me fall in love with the series.

Hope Larson offers a new installment where she focuses on the final fight against Teacher. Some solid points here like the use of Barbara's eidetic memory or more accurately, the lack of it since she has to learn how to not be so dependent on it which is a pretty interesting strategy. The exploration of Babs' head is also compelling enough while showing good character work.

The thing is that nothing is impressive. Sure, the characterization is fine but the story is not really that intriguing and even the fight against teacher ends in a pretty quick way once that Babs realize how to beat her which doesn't create a really climactic finale for this arc. Is almost like this just served as a preparation for the next story.

Rafael Albuquerque continues to deliver excellent work in art duties, I especially like the change of styles he uses for different segments.

Aside from that, I'm getting a bit bored about this. Let's see if the next arc is actually an improvement.
