Some thoughts about Superman #7

Is just a lazy day for the Superman family.

Clark, Lois and Jon feel like they deserve to relax by going to the fair but even in a simple time like this, problems will still appear.

My God, everything worked perfectly here!

Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason take a rest from the big storylines to offer an one-and-done tale focusing on the Superman family and how they relate to the rest of the world and simply is so good! The premise is nicely executed and this is mostly because of the enjoyable interactions and dialogue that occur during the issue which offer tons of charming moments that perfectly evoke the idea of what Superman is.

It doesn't focus on huge events or world-ending threats, is just about Clark trying to have a good time with his wife and son without his work interfering with it and when it does, it still manages to feel quite enjoyable and surprisingly real.

A lot of the credit has to go to Jorge Jimenez who delivers the best work I have seen from him (and that's saying something) which creates several memorable scenes that depict the characters' expressions and story perfectly.

Great stuff and I might be invested in the book now.
