Some thoughts about Moon Knight #6

A new life for Moon Knight is about to start.

Meet Steven Grant, producer of the new Marvel movie who is having several problems with actor, director and that strange feeling that he's losing his mind.

WOW! This run went meta quite fast.

Jeff Lemire delivers one of his most experimental stories yet by focusing on an alternate life of Moon Knight as Steven Grant who ironically has to work in a movie about his own life. The writer touches some of this aspects before during his run in Animal Man when he centered on Buddy Baker's superhero career but never to this extreme. The writer utilizes this premise to connect it to several Marvel movies in the real world which will bring a smile to fans' faces.

Even better is how he explores the psyche of the protagonist and showing how he continues to reminisce his past lives in several segments that reflect the insanity that is occurring.

Wilfredo Torres, Francesco Francavilla and James Stokoe share the pencils here and their is fantastic during their respective sections. Torres fitting the more common scenes in the real world and Francavilla and Stokoe handling the more supernatural segments.

Excellent read, this continues to be one of the best stories from this author.
