Some thoughts about The Flintstones #3

The Flintstones' world is about to change.

Aliens have just arrived to Earth and they don't exactly come at peace. Now is up to the people from Bedrock to save their city but not all of them might survive.

Well, this can be a... complicated issue. In more ways that one could imagine.

Mark Russell brings a new installment where he continues his satirical style to criticize some aspects of society. This time is about immigrants I believe and that can become a bit problematic at times.

For one, the alien immigrants act like total frat bros who only want to party and cause damage everywhere. That is fun and everything but it ultimately become dangerous once that they start killing everyone. This section touches aspects like gun control and how technology is progressing to the point that is quite easy to commit murder. However, the aliens are blatantly categorized as immigrants which makes me wonder if these are the actual author's thoughts about them and if that's the case then is pretty problematic.

There's also the case between how Bedrock's soldiers never receive the proper respect which also obviously refers to veterans and war which again, is fitting based on the situation. The implementation of classic themes from the show like the Great Gazoo and even Yabba Dabba Do is appropriate and logical.

Steve Pugh handles the art once again and is quite good looking with a great range of expressions for the characters and quite clean style along with strong storytelling.

I don't know what to think about this, I might be getting some things wrong but so far I don't really like them.
