Some thoughts about Batman #6

Who will Batman help Gotham Girl?

After the death of her brother, Claire has been slowly losing her mind and Bruce is not sure how to handle it but he will have to find a way before is too late.

Well, this is yet another chapter of Tom King's Batman all right.

The issue concentrates on the ramifications of the last arc with both Gotham and Gotham Girl suffering from the effects of the Psycho-Pirate attack and the latter being the focus here. The character work is interesting enough with King exploring a logical way to connect both Bruce and Claire's tragedies and creating a stronger relationship between both. This allows for a solid epilogue that I suppose is satisfying. It was nice to see classic villains like Kite Man as well.

On the other hand, this is still not exactly great. The character work is fine and everything but it never goes to the point where is investing enough to get emotional. The dialogue can be hit and miss with King's usual strong and weak points being implemented here, at times it reads fine, at others is just awkward.

Ivan Reis handles the artwork and is great looking with beautiful characters and a gothic style that is obviously fitting for the book and story.

Is... okay I guess? Not impressive but works good enough to give it a try.
