Some thoughts about Aquaman #6

Can Aquaman the most powerful hero on Earth?

Superman has arrived to stop the conflict between Arthur and the army but Mera and him are not going to make this any easier.

One would think that the usual "Superhero against superhero" trope might be overdone and it is, but thankfully is well-done here.

Dan Abnett uses this particular battle to focus on more character work. The way how the fight between Arthur, Mera and Superman is handled makes sense and fortunately doesn't make any of the characters involved here look bad or overpowered. The dialogue is especially good here since it manages to explore the motivations of both sides without feeling like overexposition and coming to a logical conclusion for them.

The other plot-points progress nicely with Black Manta and the organization of N.E.M.O. receiving a development that makes sense and is promising for future encounters with his nemesis.

Brad Walker finally returns to art duties and his work is still beautiful by delivering great energy during the fight scenes as well as lot of different expressions for the characters.

Entertaining issue and is good to see how consistent this book is so far.
