Some thoughts about Detective Comics #939

What is Gotham's fate?

Bruce and Kate can't help but start reminiscing their own past once they realize that their own family is working against them. Now is up to the whole team and especially Tim Drake to save the world their own way.

Yeah, the clues are pretty clear: Tim Drake is apparently going to die.

For people who don't know, that's the current rumour and James Tynion IV is not even hiding such fact due to the amount of attention and love he gives to the character. Tim is receiving a lot of scenes where his connection to the rest of the team is explored and also showing how competent he can be based on his own skills. This pays a lot of respect to the character which just screams that something is about to happen to him.

The rest of the cast also get some solid moments though and the story progresses at a nice pace. I still don't like how Kate's dad is maligned here however, since it seems like he never liked Bruce's father and I can't help but think that this is just an unnecessary retcon.

Eddy Barrows delivers a quite strong work in art duties thanks to his gothic and detailed style that creates interesting layouts.

Solid stuff, wonder if things are going that way most people suspect?
